My Name is Mehmood. Love to learn new things. This is my site where you can see my upcoming project and past projects. You can download my resume from here: Mehmood Munir (CV).

I am a passionate Data Scientist with a focus on delivering valuable insights through data analysis and machine learning. I have been working in this field since September 2021, and I am dedicated to making a significant impact.

One of my key accomplishments was completing the explainability feature in Giggso’s MLOps product, which is currently in production as both a SaaS and enterprise edition. This feature provides transparency into model internals, enhancing trust and confidence in models for production usage. I designed various dashboards with evaluation and explanation metrics for classification and regression models developed in Keras, Sklearn, and Tensorflow.

In addition to technical contributions, I have been actively involved in guiding and training other data scientists to work on Giggso’s latest product, MLOps, and fostering a positive working environment. This initiative has boosted product development by 20%.

My work extends to Giggso’s AIOps product, where I completed the Service Dependency Graph feature, enabling visualization of microservice connections in Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in standalone servers. This has greatly assisted DevOps engineers in troubleshooting.

I also introduced features for setting up application exporters using Victoria Metrics and designed various dashboards in Grafana for monitoring data from different sources. Additionally, I played a crucial role in enhancing security and compliance features in the Giggso platform, integrating SIEM tools and designing dashboards in Kibana.

I’m not just about data analysis but also optimizing data pipelines. I introduced event streaming using Kafka, data transformation, and retention policies to lower the cost of elastic storage. Furthermore, I developed a secret management tool, Conjur Wallet, to enhance data security.

Before my role at Giggso, I worked as a Software Engineer at Gap Dynamics, where I implemented CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, reducing testing and deployment times by 50%.

My journey started in academia, as I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. During my time there, I was a teaching assistant and also led a team in the Research Lab (COLAB), contributing to various projects.

Some of the noteworthy projects I’ve worked on include an Artificial Intelligence-based Question Answering System, an Image-to-Text data extraction system, 3D Gaming Agents with Deep Reinforcement Learning, and YouTube Comments Sentiment Analysis. I have a deep technical background, using a range of technologies and tools to deliver results.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with a CGPA of 3.62/4.0, and have earned several accolades, including being a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador and achieving the status of Gold Medalist in each semester. I’ve also made significant achievements in programming competitions, including the International Collegiate Programming Contest and IEEEXTREME Programming Competition.

I’m driven by my passion for data science and am committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the field. My journey has been marked by a series of exciting projects, and I look forward to continuing to make an impact in the world of data science and beyond.
